Mysteries of Stonehenge

Work of early British people, Stonehenge is a classic example of megalithic civilizations. Scientists say Stonehenge was built between 2800 and 1100 BC., in three separate phases: Phase 1: (Hill Circular), which we know as the outer circle of Stonehenge and the three circles of holes, fifty-six in all, surrounding the monument. The four "station stones" that are supposed to have been used as an astronomical observatory, the apparent goal was to observe the sunrise and sunset and the moon, to devise a schedule of seasons. Stage 2: beginning in 2100 to BC., was the construction of the double circle of stones in an upright position in the center of the monument, and the broad avenue leading to Stonehenge and the outside edge of grassy plains that surround it. In the third and final phase, the double circle of stones was separated and rebuilt, raised many of trílitos.
Meditating on the mysteries of Stonehenge, it is worth remembering that at that time, different tribes and officials contributed to the construction of Stonehenge. Each one may have had different goals to build the monument.
The Saxons called the Group of upright stones "Stonehenge" or "Hanging Stones (stones suspended), while medieval writers referring to them as" Dance of the Giants. "
Builders built a new avenue of Stonehenge monoliths that linked to the Avalon River about 3.2 km away. Stonehenge has survived and their magic never disappeared. Attributed to the magician Merlin lifting the stones, while the local population for many years believed that the stones had healing power, when transferred to water, could cure all sorts of diseases.
For centuries, Stonehenge has been the scene of meetings of peasants and in the last 90 years the modern "Druids" celebrated here the summer solstice. For about 20 years, thousands of people gathered at the site every month of June to attend the festival that there takes place. But in 1985 the authorities banned both the coming of the Druids as the festival itself, afraid that the stones and the surrounding landscape could be damaged.
Archaeologists, however, still consider the possibility of a religious building ...
It is believed that Stonehenge and other megalithic sites have been built by the ancestors of Druids in this millennium, because they believe they were places of great strength to realize their rituals... instead of churches closed they would gather in circles of stone, as if see the ruins of Stonehenge Avebury, Silbury Hill and others.
The dating by carbon-14 shows that these buildings predate the classical phase of Druidism. This is true because they were built soon after the arrival of Atlantis. In fact they were built, and there are still hundreds of stone circles in Britain and especially Scotland.
Greek: mega = big, lithos = stone, so that megaliths are large stone monuments. They may represent closed lines (circular, elliptical, oval, etc.), straight alignments, or stacks as the Egyptian pyramids, Chinese and Central America. They are scattered all over the world: Europe, China, North America and North Africa being the most important the locals.Among the megaliths, the most famous is the Great Pyramid of Khufu and Stonehenge. Both on the pyramid of Khufu on how Stonehenge was written thousands of books. This is not by chance. Most historians of antiquity say that these monuments are among the wonders of the Ancient World.
Stonehenge megalith is formed by concentric circles of stones (some with 45 tons and 5 meters high), built on Salisbury Plain, in Britain.
There is archaeological evidence that allows us to assert that human activity had been there for more than 10 000 years ago. However, the megalith itself was started 2100 BC and was built in three stages between 2100 BC and 1600 BC. To get a clearer idea of its architectural plan.
No one knows who built Stonehenge, and the popular theory that were the druids is now refuted, because the monument was completed 1000 years before the Druids took power. However, archaeologists have noted the almost complete absence of waste in place and this is an indication that the site was sacred ground.
Stonehenge (Salisbury, southwest England) is also the scene of mysterious crop circles. Some researchers have begun to try to find some natural explanation to unravel the mystery of crop circles, such as unusual weather, weather casualties and other more complex hypotheses. These drawings (crop circles) tend to appear frequently in wheat, soybeans, barley and corn. And those affected cereals come to develop much faster (about 40% faster) in the interior designs than those closer to the edges.
Across the whole these drawings appear overnight, in the midst of silence and darkness in cereal fields and people who camp in places of high incidence, hoping to register one of these figures forming end up frustrated by the night unable to testify in the clear no light or sound different and sometimes end up with surprising to see the light of day a few feet from where they were camped a drawing appeared mysteriously as it had been done by some kind of invisible energy to the eye human.
There are many researchers trying to interpret the meaning of these figures, some calling the drawings to mathematical symbols, comparing to the other astronomical systems, and compares them to symbols of ancient civilizations such as Persian, Druids, Romans, Celts, Egyptians ...
According to researchers, these drawings (crop circles), due to its complexity, would be impossible to be made by human hands. The largest amount of circles often appear in plantations located around the site where it erected the monument of Stonehenge and other important archaeological sites such as Avebury and Silbury Hill.
Importance of Stonehenge on the History of Mathematics
Most historians who have studied Stonehenge says that it was used as a calculator of stone, a megalithic real computer in order to predict the birth of the sun and moon on the solstice and equinox. However, there are historians who do not accept the arguments and associated data and have other explanations for the construction of this monument.
